In accordance with Article 2 of the Enforcement Rules of the Police Law, the police, in conformity with related laws, are in charge of three major missions maintaining public order, upholding safety in society and preventing all types of hazards, and one subsidiary mission promoting the welfare of the citizens. Accordingly, public security and traffic as well as law enforcement and service are the key points of police work. The police are dedicated to improving public security, maintaining traffic order and creating peaceful society based on public opinion orientation and public satisfactions. To achieve the aforementioned missions, the police need to take advanced education and trainings, to be equipped with high-performance facilities, to set up a self-disciplined moral and to foster a good service manner. The police, abiding by the security-priority, traffic-centered and service-oriented faith, are endeavoring to offer the public a"safe, stable, and secure" living environment.
