Due to the increase number of application of Police Criminal Record Certificate(PCRC), the Foreign Affair Section of Taoyuam County Government Police Bureau has shortened the processing time from 3 days to 2 days effective on January 19, 2009. In addition to that, the working hour has also been extended from 17:00 – 19:00
Police Criminal Record Certificate also known as "Police Clearance" is an official certification which certify whether a person has any criminal record(s) or not.
According to the Foreign Affair Section's statistics, the number of applications per month has reached approximately 1,250, and 14,950 applications in Year 2009. In particular, December has reached as high as 1,413 applications.

Section Chief Mark Chih said, "Application process involves inspecting applicant's identity document. If applicant would like to save the number of visits to the section, applicant can opt to apply and collect in person, collect certificate via mailing, or Internet application.
