Education and Training

 

The police education consists of under-graduate education, advanced education, further education and in-service training. The first three educations are implemented by the Central Police University and the Taiwan Police College while the in-service training, conducted for the police on active service, is implemented by every level of the police agency. The National Police Agency sets up training bases for cadres and qualified teachers as well as for special assignments. In addition, the NPA designates the subjects and requires each police agency to have them practiced with daily assignments to promote the police quality and work ability.
The goals of police education and training in the future are heading toward improving manpower quality, enhancing professionalism, advancing organizational learning and developing advanced study channels as well as intensifying on-the-job trainings and cultivating technology talents to enhance the police service performance.
