Citizen-Oriented Community Policing

1.In a modernized country, the government should enhance its administrative efficiency and adopt the citizen-oriented policy in order to provide administration with honesty, speediness, activeness, and friendliness. Police officers are civil servants who work with the general public on a daily basis. Not only should police officers improve their service attitude and form a concept of "citizen first", they should also stick to the principle of "for the general public" and perform their duties in accordance with ordinances. In doing so, police officers can win the trust and support from citizens.

At TYPB, there are five offices, seven divisions, two centers, and five corps as follows:

Inspector Office, Secretarial Office, Public Relation Office, Personnel Office, Accounting Office, Security Office, Information Management Office, Administration Division, Logistics Division, Peace Preservation and Civil Defense Division, Training Division, Foreign Affairs Division, Mainland Affairs Division, Census Division, Command and Control Center, Civil Defense Control Center, Criminal Investigation Corps, Traffic Police Corps, Women and Children Police Corps, Juvenile Police Corps, and Peace Preservation Corps. By sticking to the principle of serving the general public, we require that all the personnel to perform their duties with the concept of being friendly, carefully, efficiently to serve the general public; therefore, we produced this White Paper On Citizen Service in order to promote the quality of service.
